A FLOWERY FUNDRAISER
A field of sunflowers owned by Becketts farm shop in Wythall, near Birmingham, England, is open to the public to raise funds to help the people of Ukraine. The sunflower is Ukraine’s national flower. The field will stay open for about four weeks or until the flowers fade.
CONQUERING FEAR
A first-time triathlete who learnt to swim in just eight weeks has done his first triathlon (running, swimming and cycling). Even though John McDermott, from Northern Ireland, was afraid of water, for the challenge he swam 350 metres in open water. He said it was “the biggest thing I have overcome.”
