For people in England and Wales the school holidays are still in full swing. I hope you got to enjoy the sunshine (page 5). It was a good time to try taking some photos of having fun in the sun. We share some useful tips on polishing your photography skills on a smartphone on page 24, although our Photos of the Week (page 16) were taken by readers who already seem pretty good at it! Building new skills is a great thing to do if you’re feeling bored with your usual activities (page 19).
