Astronauts stuck in space

Two astronauts who were meant to be in space for eight days may now not return to Earth until 2025. Sunita “Suni” Williams and Barry “Butch” Wilmore blasted off on 5 June on a Boeing Starliner spacecraft, arriving at the International Space Station (ISS) on 6 June. They were the first crew to fly in the Starliner spacecraft, which has since developed problems. On 7 August, US space agency NASA explained the problems with Starliner and said tests are being done to try to fix them. “We know at some point we need to bring Butch and Suni home,” said NASA’s Ken Bowersox.
