Paris 2024 Olympics comes to a close

After more than two weeks of spectacular sporting achievements, the Paris 2024 Olympics has come to an end. Great Britain finished seventh in the medal table with a total of 65, including 14 gold, 22 silver and 29 bronze. The motto of this summer’s games was “Games Wide Open”, and new sports were introduced to open the games up to younger people. These included kayak cross and breaking (a type of street dance). One of Team GB’s biggest successes in the last few days of the games was 19-year-old Toby Roberts, who won gold in the boulder and lead climbing event.
