If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a knight in medieval Wales, then visit Beaumaris Castle’s Easter Eggstravaganza in Anglesey, Wales, on 9 and 10 April. You can discover how knights prepared for battle, including how they put on their armour and used heavy weapons. There is also a circus workshop, an archery display and gruesome dungeon stories told by a spooky character. You can also join in the Easter egg hunt (there is one on both days). In Scotland, the V&A Dundee is hosting an exhibition called Tartan, about one of the world’s best-known patterns, which has been a symbol of Scotland for centuries.
