World’s happiest country named

Finland has come top of a list of the world’s happiest countries for the sixth year in a row, followed by Denmark in second place and Iceland in third place. The list is published each year by the United Nations (UN) on 20 March, which is International Day of Happiness. The UN is a group made up of most of the world’s countries that works to promote peace. Researchers who made the list interviewed 100,000 people in 137 countries, asking them about their happiness levels. They also looked at other measurements, such as how effective the government is and how well organised public services are, such as schools and hospitals.
