GET TO WORK The word robot originates from the Czech word robota, which means forced work or labour. Robots are capable of the most incredible things, and they’re becoming more and more intelligent. They can clean, cook, work in factories that make cars and machinery, travel into war zones and roam across Mars looking for alien life. Self-driving cars are beginning to appear on the streets and a robot called Atlas, designed by US company Boston Dynamics, is capable of doing backflips. Some robots can care for the elderly.
