Ludwig the pig Ludwig, a pot-bellied pig, is the first of his kind to travel from Canada to the UK to live as a pet. However, that isn’t the only reason Ludwig is special. His owners, Mike Maughan and Liane Scholz, came downstairs one morning in 2015 to find someone had broken in and tried to burgle their home, but the sight of Ludwig, who weighs 108 kilograms, had scared them off.
