Clothing designer and maker, Patrick Grant, likes to put his ideals into action when it comes to changing our relationship to fashion – and building happier, healthier lives to boot

He may have a reputation for being particularly exacting with his critique, but Patrick Grant is always kind and generous with his knowledge as one of the hosts of the BBC's clothes-making show The Great British Sewing Bee. On the show, Patrick looks very dapper and every inch the city gent in his immaculately tailored suits. Find him at his factory in Blackburn and he'll be more dressed down (though somehow looking just as smart) in a jumper and joggers – made, of course, by his own company, Community Clothing.
