GO & STAY I still dream about our time at Wild Meadow, high on a hill on the Welsh borders. It was a rare few nights away without the kids, and we couldn’t have wished for more: the weather was on our side, the sun-soaked evenings long and lazy at our magical shepherd’s hut. Owners Andrea and Jonathan bought Wild Meadow a couple of years ago and planted a small orchard, then a veg patch and fruit bushes. Next came the hut, and most recently they’ve added a fantastic eco cottage. The shepherd’s hut is beautifully furnished, and the bed was the comfiest we’d ever slept in. Outside is the camp kitchen, with a gas stove, fridge and enamelware, plus a solar shower room and a cute little basin. It’s a place to disconnect…
