My journey started with a cup. When you do something M that you truly love, it's funny how you can trace the little threads of fate holding your story together. My dream of escaping to a cosy cottage complete with hens and a veg patch bloomed from this dainty china cup.
It was my cup when I visited my great, great aunt Jenny in Glasgow as a child. She lived in a high-rise flat with her sister, Agnes. I look back now and wonder if she too was drawn to it because she yearned to escape.
