When planning a hard-earned break, it helps to ask yourself what you want to get out of it. I wanted to rest properly, sleep deeply, and be close to nature. I didn’t want to make any decisions or answer any questions. I wanted a break from the demands of the world. And that’s how I ended up driving over the Severn Bridge, listening to my favourite playlist, destined for The Dreaming, a new wellness retreat in mid-Wales. As I journeyed through the beautiful green hills and the roads became narrower and emptier, I grew excited and a bit nervous. What will the group be like? Will my family manage without me?
