Caroline Gardiner’s obsession with searching through charity shops, delving into junk shops and hunting through markets to find vintage pieces, means her home is a maximalist’s dream. In fact, it was her love of one particular flea market in the Malvern Hills that led Caroline and her family to fall in love with the area and move from the outskirts of Birmingham into the countryside. “We used to come up to the flea market in Malvern every month and each time I’d think how nice it would be to live here,” says Caroline, who lives in the house with her husband Richard, son George, step-daughter Zia and cat, Mokka. “When we found this house it was very run down and really filthy, but unique.
