November’s long, dark evenings offer a great excuse to fill your home with the warming light and soothing scents of homemade candles and to create a snug nook in which to hide away from the outside world. Making your own candles means that you can create fragrance combinations that evoke memories. For example, nothing says winter like the scents of cinnamon, oranges and pine needles filling your home. You can also ensure that you use natural ingredients. Synthetic oils may be cheaper, but you’ll get a stronger, fuller scent by using essential or botanical oils.
