Hold Your Breath: Bridge and Tunnel
Challenge your fellow passengers to feats of endurance by getting everyone to hold their breath for the length of time it take to pass through a tunnel or over a bridge. The person who lasts longest wins. Perhaps not one for the driver.

Take it in turns to flip through a road atlas and select a place. Then close the atlas and hand it over to your neighbour and time how long it takes them to find the town or village you have named. The quickest overall is the victor – and perhaps can be crowned designated map reader for the rest of the journey, too.
