CHAMOMILE

Mood: calming, relaxing. Aroma: sweet, fresh and herbaceous apple-like aroma. Origins: The name chamomile comes from Greek meaning ‘near the ground' and ‘apple' referring to the plantˇs low-growing features, and the apple-like scent of its flowers. The most popular types are Roman chamomile and German chamomile. Uses*: Due to its high content of chamazulene, use German chamomile in facial lotions for sensitive, itchy, irritated skin. Infuse Roman chamomile in bath salts for a relaxing bath. Blends well with: bergamot, clary sage, geranium, lavender, rose.
