TIPPLE OF THE MONTH

There's not much going on in the veg patch or herb garden yet, so look further afield for a drink to remind you that sunshine isn't far away.

PINEAPPLE & GINGER SMOOTHIE Super-sweet pineapple gets a warming and spicy punch of ginger in a smoothie packed full of get up and go. 2 tbsp frozen pineapple 2cm piece of ginger, peeled 1 banana, peeled Handful of fresh spinach leaves 1 Add the frozen pineapple, ginger, banana and spinach to a high-powered blender jug, then pour in 100ml cold water. 2 Blitz until completely smooth, adding a little extra water, if desired, to achieve your preferred consistency. Cook's note: You can prepare the ingredients the evening before and keep in a jar in the fridge. The frozen pineapple will thaw, so add a little less water when blending.
