THE LOCO-MOTION Everybody might be doing it, but it'd be hard to describe the ‘loco-motion’ as a ‘brand new dance now'. One of its charms is how it's been reinvented: it made the top three in the States in three different versions over three consecutive decades. As Kylie Minogue said, “It seems to be one of those songs that people know subliminally.” Penned by song-writing powerhouse Gerry Goffin and Carole King in 1962, it was used as a demo by Eva Boyd, aka Little Eva (also Goffin and King's babysitter), with King on backing vocals and piano.
