Blanket at the ready? It’s time to decamp our meals to the great outdoors. While our taste in picnic foods may have become slightly more sophisticated (thanks M&S!), as these images from A Very British Picnic (Hoxton Mini Press) show, the essential ingredients remain the same. Picnics can take many forms and, though the food may be appreciated, it’s rarely the most important aspect. Most are all about the company – a way of gathering the hordes (in fact, it’s likely that you have a shot similar to one of these lurking in your family photo album).
