OVER-RULING THE SCHOOL Restaging a classic celebrates the achievements of women in Ireland Writers, poets, thinkers and leaders, captured in art for all time. This could describe the Raphael fresco, School of Athens, found in the Vatican, which depicts 50 notable men. But thanks to Irish art collective Na Cailleacha, it's also a description of School of Hibernia, featuring 50 notable Irish women, staged in collaboration with Trinity's History of Art and Architecture Department in the Museum Building. “We talk about the visibility of women a lot in the visual arts and are rightly critical of the art historical canon,” explains Catherine Marshall, Na Cailleacha's curator.
