All too often, cooking for one might not seem worth the bother; easier to bung something in the microwave or grab something from the fridge. But taking time to serve up a delicious plate of food when you’re the only one at home is a wholesome way to look after yourself, perhaps one that’s more than necessary at this time of year. After the hullaballoo, January can seem a bit of a come down. For me, it’s time to recover and recharge. After all that entertaining, some alone time is a much-needed antidote and some quality time looking after yourself.
