Together with her neighbours in Moss Side, Manchester, Yasmine El-Gabry has helped to turn the alleyway that runs behind their houses into a plot for growing flowers, food and – perhaps most importantly – friendships. Regardless of experience, the entire street is encouraged to muck in, with simple tasks that help both the produce and the community to flourish.
