Deanna Wilhelm's brass band has a big concert looming large. “I've just finished working out a new arrangement,” says the trumpeter, amid last-minute preparations. “It's a mishmash of three tunes.” Three brass band classics, you might imagine. Perhaps The Old Rugged Cross, Abide With Me, and Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer?
