Despite my keen journalistic curiosity – aka nosiness – I find the digital world, with its constant stream of private moments played out on a public stage, rather overwhelming. While I applaud hearts being worn on sleeves, there’s a part of mine that’s stuck firmly in the olden days, where the glances are furtive and the longing is fervent.
It’s no surprise then, that I’m a sucker for the hidden charms of a locket. Worn for centuries as both a talisman and a token of adoration, admiration or remembrance, I actually relish not knowing who’s lurking behind those gold and silver doors.
