Make a beeswax candle Beeswax candles make a lovely gift to mark Imbolc on 1 February (the festival halfway between winter solstice and spring equinox) or just something to lift the last of the dark days. You will need honeycomb beeswax sheets, beeswax wicking (available from crafts suppliers), some good scissors. 1 If your honeycomb sheets don’t come as squares, cut them to shape. 2 Cut a length of wicking about 5cm longer than one side of your square and lay it right at the edge of one side of the squares. 3 Fold a very small part of the edge over the wicking and press down firmly all the way along the edge.
