My day in cups of tea

We join quilt and stocking maker Kate Owen over a few homemade mince pies, and to find out how she spends her December days in cuppas.

Morning! How does your day begin? I start with two cups of English Breakfast tea, drunk in fairly quick succession, made after my husband, Luke, takes our daughter to nursery. Then it's on with my day. Tell us a bit about what you do I make patchwork quilts, cushions, stockings and kits, as well as teaching quilting classes. My studio is at home, and things are very busy in the run up to Christmas. The kettle's on, what do you fancy? Another English Breakfast, please, strong and milky. I sometimes have a coffee. During December I have it with cream, nutmeg and cinnamon. Ooh, we like the sound of that! Do you have a favourite cup? I found it on eBay: it's blue and white with a sort of Willow…
