Games for round the fire Object of the game: come up with creative ways to avoid the forbidden word. How to play: • At the start of the day, give everyone red dot stickers – these will act as your ‘mosquito bites’ • Pick a common Christmas word – such as turkey, remote control or glass – to ban for the day. • Any time you hear someone saying this word, sting them with a mosquito bite sticker. • You'll need to think outside the box to avoid getting bitten. Glass, for example, might become ‘hydration receptacle’ or ‘chalice of life’. • The person with the most red dots at the end of the day loses.
