Looking back, I have always cried a lot. As a child I would cry at bumps, bruises, stressful situations and misunderstandings. For years I wanted to control my crying; I would do anything to prevent tears from running down my face. I used to feel embarrassed and scared of being perceived as weak. Then I started keeping a crying diary, I wrote or drew each time that I cried, and I realised that crying my heart out has helped me get through difficult and unpredictable times.
