THE HUNGRY SNAP The worldwide wonder of food captured through photography Boats fanning out across a stretch of lake to create a floating market – that’s just one of the winning images from this year’s Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition. Azim Khan Ronnie’s image of boats loaded with jackfruit, pineapples and mangos in Bangladesh sits among pictures of cakes, tarts, and family dinners, putting the story of tribal farmers into the wider context of all the ways food touches our lives. “Food is the great leveller, the great unifier and photography captures this so powerfully,” says Caroline Kenyon, the competition’s founder.
