My day in cups of tea

We head to Dorset to enjoy a cup of sunshine with pastel artist Nina Squire, as she tells us about how she spends her day in cuppas

Morning! How do you like to begin your day? With a cuppa in my favourite Poppy Treffry mug. If time allows. I’ll curl up on my sofa and check emails, too. Lovely, what happens next? I work from home - my studio is in the garden. I do my best creative work in the mornings. NINA SQUIRE, a pastel painter and tutor, represents the sea and various animals in her Dorset studio. thepastelartist.co.uk How did you become an artist? I didn’t choose my career, it chose me. I loved drawing as a child and was often asked to draw people’s dogs and horses. I went on to study illustration at Falmouth, which fuelled my love of the sea. I take commissions, tutor and create artworks. I love creating but it’s solitary, so teaching is ideal. I…
