TO DO STAND-UP COMEDY

While the work required is no laughing matter, you should be able to learn how to earn a few Stand-up comedy isn’t only about being naturally funny – though that helps. It needs work, and lots of practise. Look on the bright side: look at what’s going on about you; eavesdrop. Note down interesting things and identify what’s funny in experiences – even if not a fully-formed ‘joke’ yet. Find your funny bones: think back about your past – what are your strongest memories? What unique things can you draw on? And now: what things make you laugh? Write it out: try and develop your notes into actual jokes. Set aside small, regular slots to work on it.
