The beginning of most food preparation begins with oil. Whether whisked into a dressing, stirred into a marinade or poured into a pan, oil is a staple of storecupboards around the world. One of the most popular oils, if you're concerned with taste at least, is olive oil. Praised for its health properties as its high in monosaturated fats (the good ones), void of trans fats and low in saturated fats (the bad ones); plus, it's packed with antioxidants, including vitamin E, and omegas 3 and 6, all which help reduce cholesterol, and maintain a healthy heart, joints and brain function .
