Fabric, sewing supplies and funky patterns to stitch at home

Since buying and resurrecting Clothkits seven years ago, artist Kay Mawer has revitalised the user-friendly sew-it-yourself-kits. She combines the brand’s rich heritage with her own vision and talent for commissioning contemporary artists and designers – Jane Foster, Rob Ryan and Mini Moderns, for example – to create a range of kits that span women’s and children’s clothing, as well as accessories. Fabric by the metre and all necessary sewing supplies are also available from the Chichester shop or online. Mawer also provides a helping hand with online tutorials for those embarking on their first project, while those local to the shop can enrol on one of the many workshops that take place upstairs. clothkits.co.uk…
