Since her schooldays, Zara Tindall has been a keen sportswoman, representing her schools in hockey, athletics, and gymnastics. Her parents, Princess Anne and Mark Phillips are both accomplished equestrians – her mother was the first member of the Royal Family to compete at the Olympic Games – and Zara has followed in their footsteps, securing a sponsorship deal with Cantor Index in 2003 that allowed her to pursue an equestrian career. Throughout her work life, Zara has collected numerous gold and silver medals, both individual and team, and she was the reigning Eventing World Champion until 2010.
