At 37, Sidney Crosby is set to suit up for Team Canada for the first time in nearly a decade – and it’s a chance at another gold medal and to add to his already legendary status on the international stage

ON A DAY NOW cemented as part of Canadiana, an eight-year-old boy in Mississauga, Ont., was planted in front of the television like countless thousands of other hockey-crazed kids across the country. “I remember I had a practice, and I was rocking my Team Canada jersey,” he said. He also had a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey in his closet. So when Sidney Crosby scored the OT-winner in the gold-medal game of the 2010 Winter Olympics to give Canada a 3-2 win over the United States, it was heaven. “I remember the goal,” said Philip Tomasino, now 23. “I remember celebrating.
