WITH THE PWHL NOW in its second year, it was only a matter of time before fans would get trading cards based on the new league. Upper Deck released its 2024 PWHL First Edition set in late January. It contains 70 cards: 50 base cards and 20 short-printed “Young Guns” of the league’s top stars, such as Marie-Philip Poulin, Hilary Knight and Taylor Heise. The base set is easy enough to put together – one full box should do the trick – but the Young Guns subset, found three per box, will be more challenging to complete. A box of 2024 PWHL First Edition cards contains 12 six-card packs. Randomly inserted are Dazzlers and Portraits inserts, as well as Young Guns outburst parallels in red, silver and gold.…
