TO BORROW FROM THAT oft-used truism that still holds dominion over big-box-store kitsch aisles, home is where the heart is. There’s something to that, too, especially to those who dedicate precious couch-cushion real estate to ensuring the platitude lives on. After all, an individual’s hometown should not always be conflated with their actual birthplace. Which brings us to Seamus Casey. As far as his biographical information is concerned, the 19-year-old New Jersey Devils prospect is a Miami native. This is noteworthy for two reasons. First, it makes Casey just the second Miamian to hear his name called in the NHL draft.
