“Nine years ago, I got pregnant. We had been trying for a baby, all very standard stuff. But at eight weeks I had a miscarriage. It was my first pregnancy and, at the time, just felt like one of those things; the statistics suggest one in five pregnancies end in miscarriage. I didn't have to go through a D&C, it all happened naturally, and I just got on with it and didn't take any time to think what had happened.
