Pipe Up St Piran's Day is the national day of Cornwall held on 5 March every year. The day is named after one of the patron saints of Cornwall, who is also the patron saint of tin miners. In Bodmin there's a procession through the streets with pipers and a children's dance, in Truro a Celtic folk music festival and a rugby match in Redruth.
