Dear Readers,A warm welcome to our autumn / winter edition. We certainly are living in interesting times. Especially after the recent elections in The USA. The cautionary image of our future, laid out by author Robert Orwell, in his book titled 1984, demonstrates the ability of governments to alter reality and manipulate facts to suit their narrative. By doing so, they introduce ‘alternative facts’ and indulge in ‘doublethink’, attempting thus psychological control of reality through words – perhaps the book was ahead of its time. As stated in the book, “Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past”.
