He denied the allegations against him but was convicted of rape, sexual assault, engaging in sexual activity with a child and causing a child to watch a sexual act, by a jury at Newcastle Crown Court.
And today Dick, of Ryde Terrace in Dunston, Gateshead was jailed for 14 years. Dick must also spent an additional year on licence after his release and will spend the rest of his life on the sex offenders register.
He was also made the subject of a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and a restraining order to protect the victim.
Det Cons Claire Ashurst, of Northumbria Police's Safeguarding Department has praised the victim for her bravery, and encouraged others to come forward and report abuse.
