Broccoli takes centre stage as a tasty side for dinner or warm salad for lunch. It works equally well with cauliflower, too.
Side kicks
Chargrilled broccoli steaks SERVES 4 AS A SIDE. PREP + COOK TIME 15 MINUTES 1/3 cup (80ml) extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon rind 1 small clove garlic, crushed 750g broccoli 150g marinated goat’s cheese chilli flakes, for serving 1 Whisk ¼ cup (60ml) of the olive oil, lemon juice, rind and garlic together in a small bowl; season to taste with salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper 2 Cut broccoli into 1cm thick slices. Place broccoli on a tray, brush with remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil. Cook broccoli on a heated oiled chargrill plate (or barbecue) over medium-high heat for 3 minutes each side or until just cooked. 3 Serve drizzled with dressing, top with goat’s cheese and sprinkle with chilli…
