Staying Positive and Optimistic

Many people ask me how I stay positive and optimistic despite the challenges I’ve faced. I’ve spent more than a quarter of my life in hospitals. I was part of a trial drug program involving 25 patients worldwide 24 of whom didn’t survive. I was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma, a cancer of the central nervous system. I had my first heart attack at 12. At 24, I had bacterial meningitis and got fluid on the brain when I was 28. At the age of 32, I was diagnosed with four more tumours in the throat, the following year they found a melanoma on my nose, six months later we had an 11-week premi baby with a horrible blood disease called sepsis, and late 2022 six more tumours were found.…
