Is it just me, or did Christmas sneak up on us faster this year than ever before? I visited a friend in early November and her tree was already up! ‘I blame my three-year-old,’ she told me. ‘We were at the shopping centre and happened to wander through the toy department. Big mistake! He just went nuts over all the decorations and trees.’ Back home, little Ethan couldn’t stop talking about it and of course his older siblings got in on the act. So the tree went up. To be honest, I rather liked it. I do think around about now is the sweet spot when it comes to feeling Christmassy.
