Sooty Santa! Hanging their Christmas stockings along the bar, staff at Loree’s Little Shack hoped customers would be extra generous that festive season. But it was the lure of those stuffed stockings that saw regular customer Jesse Berube, 32, attempt to enter the building via the chimney in the wee hours of December 13. Unfortunately, for Jesse, his Santa-inspired chimney slide ended abruptly when he discovered it wasn’t as easy as the big man would have us believe. ‘He probably figured the chimney would go straight into the fireplace,’ said fire chief Brad Schumacher. ‘When it took a 90-degree turn he got stuck.’ Wedged tight, Jesse had just enough wiggle room to reach his phone and do what no thief ever expects to do – call the police and report…
