The latest iteration of the A7R variant is the A7R III, which uses a 42.2 million pixel back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor. There’s a new Bionz X processing engine, which delivers better noise reduction and an improved dynamic range. The sensor design has also slightly changed too, with a new anti-flare coating one of the added improvements.
