Dior’s venture into high jewellery began in 1999 with Victoire de Castellane’s appointment as creative director, marking a significant shift for a fashion house primarily known for its couture and ready-to-wear collections. Over the years, De Castellane has transformed Dior’s jewellery division into an interesting space where creativity and craftsmanship thrive. Recent notable collections include the Dearest Dior collection launched in January 2023, characterised by its intricate, lace-inspired designs and colourful palette; and the Dior Rose collection from 2022, which celebrated the flower central to Christian Dior’s legacy.
