The Gift of Giving

On July 2, Tatler VIPs attended A Night for Philanthropy at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. The event marked the official launch of Fondation de France Asia, the eastern arm of Fondation de France, a leading philanthropy network in France. Michael Wong, Hong Kong’s deputy finance secretary; Christile Drulhe, consul general of France; and Axelle Davezac, CEO of the Fondation de France, were present to officially announce the establishment of the charity in Hong Kong and the city as the foundation’s new base for activities in Asia. The event saw 250 VIPs gather at the Hong Kong Palace Museum and kicked off with a private viewing of The Adorned Body: French Fashion and Jewellery, 1770–1910 from the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris.
