The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism returns for its fourth edition, and offers a programme in the South Korean capital and further afield—here’s what to expect at the event

The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism (SBAU) will run from September 1 to October 29 at Seoul’s Songhyeon Green Plaza and at the Seoul Hall of Urbanism & Architecture. Organised by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and curated by Byoung Soo Cho, this marks the event’s fourth edition. The theme this year is Land Architecture, Land Urbanism: City of Mountain Ranges, Waterways, and Wind Breezes: Drawing of Seoul’s Next 100 years. Composed of five sections presenting land urbanism and land architecture projects from around the world, SBAU 2023 will highlight how the densely populated Seoul can live in harmony with nature.
