As the founder of The Advisory Council, Federico Tan rubs elbows with luminaries in across industries. More importantly, he finds a way to bring them together

It’s not easy to land on a description for Federico “Fed” Tan: tastemaker, fashion insider, marketing whiz, entrepreneur, cultural connector—or all of the above. As the founder of marketing communications agency The Advisory Council, he says, “My job is essentially to help shape the image of a brand, a person, a personality, a creator.” Indeed, Tan’s portfolio of collaborators and clients features a dizzying assortment of names straddling different industries: in fashion, he’s worked with Sacai, Moynat, Palm Angels, StockX and Belowground; in the art world, there’s Takashi Murakami, Madsaki and Daniel Arsham; while the musicians in his phone book include Pharrell Williams, Blackpink’s Jennie Kim and Ciara.
